Schedule:
Consistent Daytime Hours | Monday•Friday 7:30am-4:00pm (No evenings or weekends!) About the Role Southwoods Health is expanding! Our newest location in Howland provides Trumbull County residents with convenient access to high-quality care. We are seeking a Receptionist to support our multi-specialty services, including Gastroenterology, Orthopaedics, and Pain Management. This is a vital role for a growing team dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes and a superior healthcare experience.
Essential Duties Patient Arrival:
Manage registration and check-in, verify insurance, and collect co-pays with a welcoming and professional demeanor.
Patient Departure:
Facilitate the check-out process, provide post-visit instructions, and schedule follow-up appointments or clinical orders.
Communication:
Perform telephone triage, route inquiries, and assist in delivering provider instructions to patients.
Clinical Collaboration:
Work closely with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient flow and office efficiency.
Compliance & Advocacy:
Maintain practice compliance with regulatory agencies (OSHA, ODH, TJC, etc.) while supporting patient rights and responsibilities.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Training in business office activities, computer skills, or medical terminology preferred.
Experience:
Previous medical receptionist experience is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
