Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives and responds to visitors and telephone inquiries to the agency; performs other receptionist duties, including filing, assisting clients with online RentCafe, assist program staff and the Administration.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Serves as agency receptionist and provides the initial contact between visitors (phone and in-person) and the Wayne Metropolitan Housing Authority e.g., greets visitors and directs to appropriate staff member; receives and responds to inquiries about agency programs and services. Responsible for unlocking and opening front of building at start of business day and locking front doors, turning off lights, as well as keeping waiting area neat and free of clutter. Performs other clerical tasks in order to assist with the efficient operation of the agency; copies necessary documentation; filing of documentation for case files for agency programs, retrieving or returning case files, processing verifications for agency programs as requested or needed; sorts and distributes incoming mail; design and edit newsletters for agency programs; update forms, lists, etc. when required. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 32.0 per week
