Since 1864, the resort has welcomed travelers seeking rest, wellness, and a genuinely restorative escape. We are a small team, and every employee contributes directly to the experience of our guests and the success of the resort. Position Overview We are seeking professional, dependable, and guest-focused Front Desk Associates to serve as the first and last impression of every guest's stay. This position is responsible for much more than check-in and check-out. Front Desk Associates manage reservations, payments, guest communications, alcohol service, and the day-to-day details that keep a small resort operating smoothly. A major part of this role is conducting hourly tub temperature and safety compliance checks and keeping accurate logs to ensure resort policy is followed at all times. The right person is reliable, honest, professional in appearance and conduct, and willing to step in wherever help is needed. - Evening shift: 2:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
Mid-shift:
additional mid-shift positions will be filled based on resort and staffing needs.- Weekend and holiday availability is required. Applicants should include their preferred shift and general availability when applying. Reliability and punctuality are essential. Core Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and manage check-in and check-out accurately and efficiently.
- Create, update, and manage reservations and maintain accurate guest records.
- Answer questions about resort amenities, services, policies, and local attractions.
- Resolve guest concerns and requests promptly, calmly, and professionally.
- Process payments and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Manage front desk email and telephone communications.
- Coordinate with other departments and team members to meet guest needs.
- Sell and serve permitted alcoholic beverages at the front desk in accordance with OLCC requirements and resort policy. For resort safety, beverages served for on-site consumption may need to be poured into plastic cups.
- Conduct hourly tub temperature and safety compliance checks, and maintain accurate, complete logs verifying that all resort and regulatory policies are being followed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and guest-facing environment.
- Complete extra cleaning and other duties as assigned.
- Stay productive during slower periods by identifying and completing useful tasks without constant direction.
- Assist coworkers and other areas of the resort when needed and take ownership of seeing tasks through to completion.

- Flexible, willing to learn, receptive to feedback, and interested in growing with the resort. Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using computers and basic office software; able to learn resort systems and procedures.
- Must be able to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be at least 21 for the front-desk alcohol-service duties assigned to this position, subject to applicable OLCC requirements.
- Must possess a valid Oregon OLCC Alcohol Service Permit or be willing and eligible to obtain one before independently selling or serving alcohol.
- Must possess a valid Oregon Food Handler Card or be willing and eligible to obtain one within the timeframe required by Oregon law and resort policy.
- Must comply with Hot Lake Springs Resort's dress code and drug and alcohol policies.
- Drug testing is part of the pre-employment hiring process. Physical Requirements The physical demands described below are representative of those an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. - Ability to lift and carry up to 30-40 lbs.
- Ability to stand and remain on your feet for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to walk to and from outdoor tub areas roughly once per hour, in all weather conditions, to check and record water temperatures and complete compliance logs.
- Ability to bend, reach, and move about the front desk and lobby area as needed.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer, phone, and payment systems.
- Ability to occasionally push, pull, or move furniture or equipment as part of daily duties.
- Competitive pay: $15.70-$18.00 per hour.
