Job Description
Job Summary Our patient‑focused dental practice is seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Temporary Front Desk Coordinator to support our team. This is a key role in creating a welcoming, smooth experience for our patients from the moment they walk in the door. About the Role The Front Desk Coordinator is the first point of contact for our patients and plays an essential role in supporting daily operations. This position focuses on patient check‑in/out, scheduling, communication, and maintaining an orderly front office environment. Key Responsibilities Patient Experience & Front Desk Operations Warmly greet patients and manage check‑in and check‑out processes Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments Manage patient flow, including scheduling appointments and confirming patient attendance Verify insurance coverage for upcoming appointments Answer incoming calls and route messages accurately Place reminder calls for next‑day appointments and support overall schedule optimization Call patients to schedule overdue treatment or hygiene appointments Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area and waiting room Ensure patient information is accurate and up to date in the practice management system Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information and protected health information Administrative Support Sort and distribute mail Prepare and organize daily paperwork and forms Keep the front office stocked, tidy, and running efficiently Support communication between patients, clinical staff, and providers Coordinate insurance information to generate accurate treatment estimates Utilize the dental software Dentrix for patient record management and appointment scheduling.

7:30am•5:00pm Qualifications 1-3 years' experience as a receptionist, front desk coordinator, or related role in an office setting, preferrably patient-facing Previous experience in a dental or medical front office preferred, but not required Strong communication skills and a warm, professional demeanor Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a busy environment Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality Experience with dental software (Dentrix preferred) is a plus Ability to learn quickly and adapt to established office systems If you're organized, people‑focused, and ready to help keep our practice running smoothly during this temporary assignment, we'd love to hear from you.Job Types:
