Job Description

Front Desk/Support Services Agent North Shore Child & Family Guidance is seeking a full-time front desk/support services agent to greet clients and provide vital clerical and other administrative support. The Guidance Center, Long Island's leading children's mental health agency, offers a generous benefits package including comprehensive health insurance and paid vacation, all in a welcoming, friendly work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Welcome customers, guests and staff in a warm and friendly manner. Learn all essential aspects of Agency operations to best navigate callers, visitors and staff and provide quality customer service to all. Manage and reconcile staff schedules. Screen first-time callers requesting an appointment and work closely with Intake Coordinators. Oversee automated appointment tele-reminders and provide confirmation calls as needed. Verify that patient demographics data remains accurate and up to date. Notify providers of patient arrivals. Monitor waiting area to ensure visitors' and clients' needs are met and appointments seen in a timely fashion. Provide customer service and support to new clients in completing and/or obtaining necessary intake paperwork. Work collaboratively with other staff, managers and administrators as requested. Provide back-end support related to intake, admission and discharge processes as assigned.
Front Desk/ Support Services Agent Qualifications:
Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills. Ability to resolve conflict. Teamwork focus. High energy level. Thoroughness and professionalism. Comfortable with technology. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Prior industry experience in a medical office preferred. Familiarity with Zoom phones, electronic health records and appointment systems.
