Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist and become the welcoming face of our compassionate animal healthcare facility! You'll handle front desk responsibilities, coordinate appointments, and support veterinary staff with administrative tasks—all while demonstrating your love for animals and dedication to exceptional customer service. Duties Greet clients warmly, answer inquiries, and schedule appointments efficiently using veterinary software. Manage medical collections and process payments accurately while maintaining compliance with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and USDA regulations. Maintain detailed records of client communications, treatment plans, and laboratory results to ensure seamless veterinary administrative support. Facilitate client education on pet care, surgery preparations, and post-visit instructions with clear communication. Ensure the reception area remains organized, clean, and welcoming by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Skills Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and veterinary critical care practices. (preferred but not required) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite along with experience using veterinary software systems. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners from diverse backgrounds. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, drug regulations (DEA), USDA standards, and veterinary clinic operations.(preferred but not required) Ability to perform animal catheterization, assist in surgery prep, and support pet grooming or training activities when necessary. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
