Job Description

Northwoods Veterinary Clinic is currently seeking a
PART-TIME
receptionist with a minimum of 6 months experience in a veterinary hospital setting . The ideal candidate loves working with the public, enjoys talking on the phone, building professional relationships with our clients, is very patient and works well in a fast-paced and sometimes hectic environment. The ideal candidate would also possess skills such as (but not limited to) basic computer use and efficient typing skills, critical thinking, ability to multi-task, organization, and clear communication. Our receptionists are responsible for handling a multi-line phone system, receiving appointments, processing invoices and handling payments, client education, maintaining electronic medical records, data entry, basic housekeeping, and much more. The work schedule will involve 2-3 full days per week and at least one Saturday per month. A typical weekday shift would be from 7:45 am until 6-6:30 pm with an approximate one hour lunch break. Saturday shifts are from 7:45 am until 1-1:30 pm. Must be able to lift 40lbs such as pet food and other supplies. This position requires extended periods of time in a sitting or standing position as well as getting up and down from a sitting position frequently; frequent walking. Northwoods Vet is a busy, small animal, two-doctor practice located in North Charleston.
