As a Patient Coordinator with APT, you'll be part of a dynamic, support team that puts kids and families first, all in a fun, energizing environment designed to help everyone thrive (including you!). Health, dental, vision, 401(k) match, PTO, life & disability insurance What you'll do: Welcome patients and visitors in person and on the telephone, answering inquiries or referring to other staff. Assist in scheduling appointments for new and existing patients in the electronic medical records system (EMR). Assist patients checking in for appointments using the kiosk when necessary. Collect co-pays for current visit or balances from prior visits. Ensure all patient paperwork and insurance information in patient's chart is up to date, providing new paperwork for completion when needed. Support & train volunteers. Ensure the waiting room is always tidy, by vacuuming or mopping, clearing trash or picking up toys as necessary. Open and sort mail, distribute faxes; deliver outgoing mail to post office at the end of the day if needed. Maintain adequate supplies for current location, requesting replenishment through corporate office as needed. Other clerical duties as assigned by management.
Requirements What We're Looking For:
High school graduate or equivalent. Must have at least two years of experience in a medical office setting. Must have demeanor and compassion to work with pediatric special needs patients. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Prior electronic medical records (EMR) experience helpful. Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. See why we are proud to work at
