Job Overview At the Bonham Veterinary Clinic we serve the community & its animals at the highest standard of care. We're looking for outstanding individuals who want to join our family to help continue providing that care with our growing demand. The environment is fast paced & truly one of a kind. Everyday is different & we hope to have you join our unique team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and ensuring a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. A strong background in animal care and veterinary terminology is essential to support our team effectively. Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Handle medical collections and process payments accurately. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with confidentiality standards. Provide information to clients regarding pet care, treatments, and services offered. Support veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area. Assist with laboratory tasks and basic aseptic techniques when required. Qualifications Previous veterinary experience is highly desirable. Receptionist experience of 2+ years Knowledge of veterinary terminology is essential for effective communication. Familiarity with animal husbandry practices, including dog handling and animal restraint techniques. Background in kennel operations or equine experience is a plus. Understanding of animal anatomy, critical care procedures, and catheterization techniques is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with clients and their pets. Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 per week
