Job Description
Overview verview We are seeking a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for our guests and visitors while managing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced office setting. Duties Answer phone calls and emails regarding room availability and rates. Input and update reservations into the hotel's system. Modify, confirm, or cancel bookings as requested. Greet guests upon arrival and verify their reservations. Issue room keys and provide essential information about the property. Process payments and issue invoices during check-out. Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly. Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services. Handle special requests (early check-in, late check-out, room preferences, etc.). Maintain accurate records of bookings and guest information. Prepare daily reports on occupancy, arrivals, departures, and cancellations. Ensure the front desk is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials. Ensure the front desk area is tidy and presentable at all times. Skills & Qualities Needed Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good organizational and multitasking abilities. Knowledge of reservation systems (e.g., Opera, PMS). Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally. Basic math and computer literacy. Qualifications Customer Service Excellence Friendly, professional, and patient demeanor Strong communication and interpersonal skills Computer & Tech Proficiency booking software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to handle emails, phone calls, and online reservation platforms Attention to Detail Accuracy in data entry and booking information Ability to manage multiple reservations and requests efficiently Problem Solving Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues tactfully Quick thinking in overbooking or system error situations Organization & Time Management Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Prioritize tasks during peak check-in/check-out periods Positive attitude and professional appearance Reliability and punctuality Team-player mentality and flexibility (willing to work weekends, holidays, and shifts) If you are passionate about providing excellent customer service and thrive in an administrative environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Front Desk Reservations Receptionist.
