Job Description

Position Summary We have offices in Denton, TX and Greenville, TX. The right candidate can be in-person at either location. The Legal Receptionist is the primary point of contact for clients, prospective clients, counsel, and court personnel, providing professional front-desk coverage and administrative support to attorneys and staff. This role manages a high volume of inbound calls and in-person inquiries, coordinates scheduling and file routing, maintains confidentiality of client information, and ensures the smooth operation of daily office workflows. Candidates must demonstrate sound judgment, strong client service skills, and familiarity with law office practices, with at least one year of experience in a legal office setting, preferably family or criminal. Key Responsibilities 1. Greet clients and visitors, manage check-in procedures, and maintain a professional reception area. 2. Professional attire daily, as a key responsibility is in-person interaction with clients 3. Answer and route multi-line phone calls; take accurate messages; triage urgent matters consistent with attorney guidelines. 4. Schedule consultations, client meetings, court appearances, and administrative appointments; coordinate attorney calendars 5. Assist with creation, scanning, and indexing of physical and electronic files; ensure accurate file naming conventions and version control. 6. Support document processing, including basic formatting, proofreading for accuracy, and assembling exhibits under attorney supervision. 7. Monitor and replenish office supplies and forms; coordinate service calls for office equipment. 8. Uphold client confidentiality and privilege, and follow firm policies on records retention, data privacy, and security. 9. Provide general administrative support to attorneys and staff, including copying and scanning. 10.Perform other duties as assigned to support office operations. Required Qualifications 1. Customer service experience. 2. High school diploma or equivalent. 3. Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel 4. Demonstrated proficiency with a multi-line phone system and standard office equipment. 5. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with professional telephone etiquette. 6. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and comply with ethical obligations. 7. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications 1. Proficiency with MyCase. 2. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, scheduling, and document handling. 4. Time management and organizational skills, with sound judgment in triaging inquiries. 5. Discretion, integrity, and adherence to confidentiality and privilege. 6. Clear, concise communication and active listening. 7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking direction from multiple attorneys and paralegals. 8. Problem-solving aptitude and willingness to adapt to changing priorities. 9. Technological proficiency, including email, calendaring, document management, scanning, and e-filing portals as directed. Work Environment and Physical Requirements 1. Office-based role with frequent in-person interaction at the front desk and via telephone. 2. Regular use of computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, and other standard office equipment. 3. Occasional lifting or moving of files and office supplies, typically up to [20] pounds. 4. Capacity to maintain a professional environment and manage interruptions while meeting deadlines. Compensation:
$15 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. 2. This position is non-exempt under applicable wage and hour laws; overtime, if applicable, will be administered in accordance with firm policy and legal requirements.
