Job Description

Front Desk Associate Join Our Team and Help Create a Great Member Experience! Are you friendly, energetic, and passionate about helping people? Do you enjoy working in a positive, fast-paced fitness environment where no two days are exactly the same? We are looking for an enthusiastic Front Desk Associate to join our team! As one of the first people our members and guests see when they walk through the door, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming, clean, and positive experience for everyone who visits our club. Reporting to the Club General Manager, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting members with their needs, supporting membership sales, and helping keep the club running smoothly. Be part of a fun, energetic, and team-oriented fitness environment Make a difference in members' experiences every day Build valuable customer service, communication, and sales skills Work in an environment that encourages personal growth and development Help people feel comfortable, welcomed, and motivated on their fitness journey Gain hands-on experience in fitness, hospitality, customer service, and club operations What You'll Do Create a Great First Impression Welcome members and guests with a friendly, positive attitude when they enter and leave the club Make eye contact and acknowledge members throughout their visit Follow our 10/5 Rule — make eye contact within 10 feet and greet members within 5 feet Answer phone calls professionally and provide helpful information Conduct gym tours Assist members with questions, concerns, and account needs Maintain a professional and positive attitude in every interaction Support Members & Drive Membership Sales Assist prospective members and provide engaging club tours Help guests understand our membership options, amenities, and services Make every effort to identify membership opportunities and assist walk-in guests Process memberships, merchandise, and other transactions accurately Assist members with services such as training, hydromassage, PE@PF, and other available amenities Process account payments, freezes, cancellations, and applicable fees according to company procedures Document account information and member interactions accurately Keep the Club Clean, Safe & Welcoming Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and facility Perform regular restroom and facility checks Clean and sanitize tanning beds, hydro beds, and other service areas after use Keep locker rooms, showers, restrooms, and common areas neat, stocked, and presentable Help maintain a positive and respectful gym environment by following and enforcing club policies Report maintenance or facility concerns to management promptly Opening & Closing Responsibilities Depending on your scheduled shift, you may be responsible for opening or closing the club.
Front Desk Openers will:
Arrive prepared and ready to work prior to the club opening Set up the front desk, computers, music, lights, logs, and required paperwork Ensure restrooms, locker rooms, and member areas are clean, stocked, and ready for the day Complete opening facility checks and report any concerns to management Front Desk Closers will: Complete closing procedures at the scheduled closing time Ensure members and guests have safely exited the facility before securing the club Reconcile daily paperwork and register activity Organize and clean the front desk and facility for the next business day Complete final restroom and facility checks Secure doors, equipment, and the facility according to company procedures Overnight Team Members may also: Restock forms, supplies, and club refrigerators Organize and maintain the front desk Perform regular restroom and facility checks Complete facility walk-throughs and document maintenance concerns for management Help ensure the club is clean, organized, and ready for the next day What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is reliable, personable, energetic, and genuinely enjoys helping people.
The ideal candidate will have:
Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine desire to help others A friendly, upbeat, and positive attitude Strong communication and listening skills The ability to empathize with members and effectively resolve concerns Professionalism and good judgment when interacting with members and team members Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized A willingness to support both customer service and membership sales goals Dependability and punctuality — being on time and ready to work is essential A passion for fitness, health, and helping others reach their goals The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent Must be 18 years of age or older At least 2 years of customer service, retail, hospitality, sales, or fitness experience is a plus, but not required Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and/or overnight shifts depending on club needs Physical Requirements This position is active and requires you to be on your feet throughout your shift.
You must be able to:
Stand and walk for extended periods Communicate with members and guests in person and by telephone throughout the shift Occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds Perform routine cleaning and facility-maintenance-related tasks Ready to Make a Difference?
