Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our animal hospital. Your passion for the client and patient experience and effective communication skills will contribute to the overall functionality of the hospital. Duties Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Have a strong working knowledge of hospital goods and services. Handle incoming calls, providing information about services and addressing client inquiries. Maintain accurate records, including medical history and patient forms. Prep patient charts and ensure all information is accurate and up to date. Check clients in and out, and collect payments. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent client care. Experience Ideal candidates will possess the following skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and staff alike. Attention to detail and ability to effectively maintain patient records. A friendly, outgoing, and warm personality and a positive attitude. Ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy while balancing tasks. Ability to interpret medical records and have basic understanding of veterinary terminology.
