We seek a friendly and organized Optical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients and contribute to the smooth operation of our practice.Position Overview:
As a Front Desk Receptionist you will play a vital role in ensuring an outstanding patient experience from the moment they walk through our doors. You will manage the front desk, handle scheduling, and assist with various administrative tasks while maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere. We want to hear from you if you have excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service!Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for their appointments.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of time slots.
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, and products.
- Maintain patient records and ensure all information is accurate and current.
- Assist with insurance verification and processing, guiding patients through their benefits.
- Handle billing inquiries and payment processing with accuracy and professionalism.
- Collaborate with the optical team to ensure a seamless patient flow and experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in medical office administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in an optical or healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Proficient in using computer systems and medical software; experience with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others.
