Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet visitors and guests in a friendly and professional manner. Provide information about the facility's programs, activities, and services. Assist guests with inquiries, requests, and concerns, offering appropriate solutions and guidance. Handle telephone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries promptly and efficiently. Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring visitors feel valued and comfortable.
Facility Bookings and Reservations:
Assist customers with the registration process for recreational programs, classes, and events. Collect fees, process payments, and issue receipts. Coordinate with other staff members to ensure seamless facility usage and avoid scheduling conflicts. Maintain accurate records of bookings, reservations, and customer information.
Administrative Support:
Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and report generation. Maintain inventory of office supplies and ensure they are adequately stocked. Assist in the preparation and distribution of promotional materials, brochures, and schedules. Support other departments within the recreation center as needed. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service.
Safety and Security:
Monitor access to the facility, ensuring only authorized individuals enter. Enforce facility rules and regulations to maintain a safe and secure environment. Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents, following established protocols.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality, customer service, or related fields is a plus. Proven experience in a customer service or receptionist role, preferably in a recreational or hospitality setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data entry, scheduling, and general office tasks. Knowledge of recreational activities, programs, and services is desirable. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required. The Recreation Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring visitors' satisfaction and maintaining a positive image of the recreation center.
