Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Full-Time Front Desk Receptionist in a busy outpatient clinic! This energetic role is vital to creating a welcoming environment for patients and ensuring smooth clinic operations. You will be the first point of contact, managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and efficiently check them in and out using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks. Verify patient insurance coverage and perform insurance verification to ensure accurate billing and claims processing. Schedule appointments accurately using medical scheduling software and coordinate with clinical staff to optimize daily patient flow. Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, responding promptly to inquiries and directing calls appropriately. Manage medical records and documentation review while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA confidentiality policies. Assist with medical billing processes including collection of payments, processing CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and supporting medical administrative support functions. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, filing documents, managing electronic health records (EHR), and supporting office management tasks. Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment, preferably with clinic experience or dental clinic experience. Strong computer skills including proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or Eaglesoft. Knowledge of health insurance procedures including verification, Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance plans. Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and documentation review processes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person; bilingual abilities are a plus. Ability to handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry (10 key typing), and managing multi-line phone systems efficiently. Attention to detail while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies; experience with health information management is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; previous office management or administrative experience is advantageous.
