Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist, where your energy and dedication will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals. In this vital role, you will create a welcoming environment, manage appointments, handle administrative tasks, and support the veterinary team with exceptional customer service. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help ensure smooth clinic operations and happy clients. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly, answer inquiries, and provide outstanding customer service at the front desk Schedule appointments efficiently using veterinary software and coordinate follow-up visits Manage medical records, client communications, and billing processes with accuracy and confidentiality Assist with medical collections and insurance processing to ensure timely payments Support veterinary staff with animal handling, restraint, and basic animal husbandry tasks when needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, including lab supplies and pet care products Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary team regarding treatments, procedures, and post-care instructions Requirements Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is highly preferred Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, medical-surgical procedures, and pet care practices Proficiency in veterinary software systems and Microsoft Office applications Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques; kennel experience is a plus Familiarity with laboratory procedures, drug regulations (DEA), USDA regulations, and aseptic techniques Experience with dog handling, animal restraint, animal catheterization, and animal anatomy knowledge is advantageous Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices, laboratory experience, and equine experience are desirable but not required Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference in the lives of animals and their owners. From $18.50 per hour
