Job Description
We're looking for 1 full time Veterinary Receptionist to join our team as soon as possible! We are a unique, family-owned, start-up, three doctor veterinary clinic that is looking to add to our opening staff. Our clinic will be brand new, state-of-the-art, and considerately designed to make your day-to-day life easier and less stressful. Both owners are highly experienced, local veterinarians, and have worked in all positions of the veterinary field. We will take the best care of our staff, so that you can take the best care of our clients. Our veterinary receptionists are critical to the culture of our clinic. We are looking for individuals that are highly organized, great multitaskers, and despite what may be going on around them, always show the ability to stay positive and a desire to help. Experience is required, as we will rely on your experience to help shape our front desk processes and culture from day one. Our ideal candidate for full-time is an experienced receptionist with fantastic interpersonal skills and attitude. Someone that is ready for a new challenge in a supportive and positive environment, that is excited to develop a new reception and mentor/teach new co-workers. Our ideal part-time candidate is someone that is finding their way in reception and is ok with a part time position for now, but excited to learn and grow in a supportive environment, and whose hard work and commitment will secure a full-time position and variety of responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
Manage a busy schedule of daily appointments- allocating appropriate time for different procedures, explaining instructions for special appointments, and showing ingenuity and flexibility in order to help and solve moments of scheduling conflicts. Answer the phone
- schedule appointments, use veterinary knowledge to appropriately triage patients and client concerns. Show respectful and effective communication with clients and all members of staff. Filter client questions or requests appropriately to the correct staff level. Office and organizational skills
- managing files, sorting daily mail, processing client requests & emails, organizing outgoing mail and client announcements, balancing receipts at the close of business.
