We are seeking to expand our great team by hiring a highly experienced Front Office Receptionist with at least 4 years of dental office experience, especially in insurance and patient coordination. The ideal candidate will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment for patients, managing front office operations, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and the clinical team Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and check-in efficiently using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Meditech Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and manage the clinic calendar with precision Collect and process medical billing and insurance payments, including Medicare and health insurance claims, utilizing systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks Review and update patient medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies and accurate documentation review Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing clear information about services, insurance policies, and appointment availability Manage patient check-out procedures, including updating care plans and documenting CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes or ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding as needed Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and ensure all documentation aligns with health information management standards Experience Proven experience working in a medical or dental office environment with strong front desk or receptionist responsibilities Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is highly preferred Knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare billing, medical coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical billing procedures Strong understanding of clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations to protect patient information Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for administrative tasks such as typing, filing, and data entry Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities with exceptional customer service skills in a fast-paced setting Join us in delivering outstanding dental care by providing efficient administrative support that keeps our clinic running smoothly.
