Job description Are you accurate, reliable, flexible, and have the ability to multi-task in a busy environment? Do you enjoy the veterinary field and want to work in a low-turnover practice? Are you a good communicator with strong people skills who enjoys building relationships with your clients? If so, then we would love to talk to you! Day Road Animal Hospital on beautiful Bainbridge Island, Washington is in the process of expanding our Client Service team and looking for an experienced FT or PT Veterinary Receptionist. We are a privately-owned 3½-doctor small animal practice with a loyal and dedicated client base, many of whom have been our friends through multiple generations of pets (and sometimes family members!). Here are some of the duties required:
- Organize and maintain patient and client records
- Answer incoming multi-line phone system and direct to the appropriate staff member.
- Set-up, confirm and assist clients with making and attending appointments
- Welcome clientele and patients during appointments in a friendly and timely manner.
- Assist clientele during discharge, including escorting clientele to vehicle, assisting with bulky items, etc.
- Prepare and reconcile end-of-period reports and bank deposits
- Prepare and distribute patient reminders, client statements, and other client communications.
- Help educate clientele concerning proper preventive healthcare including regular examination, vaccination, and parasite control
- Help keep entryway, client lobby, reception and exam rooms clean and organized.
