Job Description
Weekend Receptionist We are seeking a passionate and motivated Weekend Receptionist to work in our nursing facility in Everett. The candidate should have a cheerful and welcoming disposition with the ability to communicate with residents, families and other visitors in a compassionate manner and ideally have experience in a similar healthcare setting. Give information/directions to visitors, guests, residents, sales representatives, etc. Receive requests from within the facility and locate personnel through paging system. Report suspicious persons/information to supervisor immediately.
Ensure guests/visitors abide by existing rules and refuse admission to persons as directed. Receive, sort and distribute mail to residents, guardians, staff, etc., including preparing and mailing statements as directed. Assist with administrative duties as directed (including typing, filing, photo-copying, etc. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility. Greet visitors. Direct to appropriate office and/or resident room. Operate copier, office machines, etc., as directed. Operate computer as directed.
Release information in accordance with established policies and procedures. Monitor presence and location of sales representatives in the facility. Other related duties and responsibilities that may become necessary or appropriate.
Schedule:
Saturdays and Sundays 8.30am to 5pm 16 hours per week. Flexibility to cover at other times would be an advantage.Pay Rate:

Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel and support agencies. Have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to incorporate them into existing practices. Must be able to relate to and work with ill, handicapped, elderly, emotionally upset and hostile people within the facility. Must be able to type and operate a variety of office equipment.Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required Experience in a receptionist role in a healthcare environment desirable.
