Job Description
Orthopedic Spine & Injury Center Front Office/Receptionist Qualified applicants must have at least two years of professional experience as a medical receptionist with the ability to multi-task. Bilingual Spanish speaker is a plus.
Position Summary:
Full-time position to work in Medical office with responsibilities to include: Greet all patients and visitors Patient scheduling, appointment confirmations and communicating appointment instructions Answering and directing phone calls, taking and forwarding messages Checking in patients, taking their pictures for the EMR Collecting and recording patient insurance and third-party information Collecting and recording patient payments and charges Maintenance of patient accounts by obtaining, recording and updating personal and financial information Daily patient chart preparation Patient online and in-office form management Medical record input via scanning and/or data entry Facilitation of incoming and outgoing office faxes Maintaining and Ordering Office Supplies Maintaining reception area Overseeing office maintenance requests Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed Facilitating opening and closing of clinic Prepare, sort, and distribute mail Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information Enter and maintain Electronic Health Records information Recognize and appropriately respond to occasional emergency situations Report significant changes in patient condition or other pertinent patient information to the Physician and/or PA Provide patient education as directed, (DME, CPM, Bracing, etc) Following provider instructions, demonstrate accurate, timely and efficient follow through with pharmacy refills, scheduling out of clinic procedures, obtaining, reporting, and tracking of lab results, leaving phone messages, and distributing faxes Working directly with Physicians, Physicians Assistant and Clinical staff Responding to patient phone callsMedical Office Skills and Qualifications:

Prior Medical Office Experience a MUST; Health Insurance Claims and Authorization; Electronic Health/Medical Records and Practice Management (eClinicalWorks preferred); Microsoft Word and Excel; Telephone Skills; Customer Service Skills; Time Management Skills; Professionalism; Ability to Multi-Task; Attention to Detail; Quality Focus; Strong written, verbal and communication skills a mustWorking Conditions:
