Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated veterinary team. We are a fast paced and growing walk-in Urgent care and General Practice! Schedule is 4 x 10s or 5 x 8s Duties Greet clients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures for their pets Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-up reminders to optimize clinic flow Handle medical collections accurately, including processing payments and insurance claims Maintain organized records of patient histories, treatment plans, and laboratory results Communicate effectively with veterinary staff regarding patient updates, lab results, and treatment needs Assist with treatment staff by coordinating pet drop-offs, pick-ups, and ensuring proper animal care documentation Support laboratory tasks such as sample labeling and basic data entry related to diagnostic tests Ensure all client inquiries about pet care, veterinary procedures, or billing are addressed professionally and clearly Requirements Prior experience in veterinary reception or administrative roles within animal healthcare settings is preferred Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and restraint techniques Familiarity with pet care practices including grooming, training, and general animal husbandry Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners, veterinary staff, and suppliers Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of dog handling skills and experience working with animals in kennel or critical care settings is a plus Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to providing exceptional animal care!
