Job Description

The Receptionist/Schedulers job is to answer the telephone, greet visitors, schedule patients, take messages, check patients in & out, take payments, and scan medical records. Performs general office activities to provide clerical and administrative support for the facility. Medical administrative / clerical experience preferred. Strong communication & customer service skills required. High School Diploma or GED required. Performs reception and telephone operator activities for effective communication with all areas of the facility. Performs administrative functions such as scanning records into patient accounts, paging overhead & faxing. Screens phone calls; redirects calls, and complaints to proper channels. Monitors waiting area. Collects, sorts, distributes and prepares mail, messages and courier deliveries. Identifies emergencies and initiates appropriate response as needed. Accepts patient payments. Maintains order and cleanliness of the front desk area. Accepts & relays all messages effectively. Behaves and dresses in a professional and courteous manner consistent with the facilities Standards of Behavior. Cross trains to other functions within the Business office. Plans ahead, manages time well, and arrives on time. Other duties as assigned.
