Administration, Technology and Communication Coordinator First Congregational Church of Watertown CT Watertown, CT Job Details Part-time $25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Executive administrative support High school diploma or GED Organizational skills Communications Productivity software Community relationship building Associate's degree Full Job Description Job Summary First Congregational Church of Watertown, CT is seeking a highly motivated and organized Part-Time Church Administration, Technology, and Communications Coordinator to support our church's daily operations and enhance our communication. This role is crucial for managing administrative tasks, overseeing social media platforms, and coordinating internal and external communications to foster community engagement and support our mission.
Job Duties Administrative Duties:
Manage and maintain church office operations, including answering phones, handling correspondence, organizing files, and ordering supplies. Schedule and coordinate meetings, events, and church services. Assist with the preparation and distribution of church bulletins, newsletters, and other communication materials. Maintain and update church databases, including membership records and volunteer information. Support Senior Minister, Director of Outreach and Faith Formation and Music Director in administrative tasks Support church committees with scheduling and administrative needs
Social Media Management:
Develop and implement social media strategies to increase the church's online presence and engagement, and coordinate with church members around social media use. Create, curate, and schedule content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and others. Monitor social media channels for engagement, respond to comments and messages, and engage with the online community. Analyze social media metrics and provide reports on performance and growth.
Communications Coordination:
Draft, edit, and distribute internal and external communications, including announcements, press releases, newsletters and promotional materials. Coordinate with church leadership to ensure consistent messaging across all communication platforms. Assist in organizing and promoting church events and activities through various communication channels, both internally and externally Update and maintain church website, ensure fresh and relevant content and updated information Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in administrative roles and social media management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media platforms. Proficiency in website management, including the wix.com platform Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment. Familiarity with church operations and a passion for supporting faith-based initiatives is a plus.
