GENERAL SUMMARY
The Switchboard Supervisor oversees the daily operations of a 24/7 healthcare communication center, ensuring efficient and reliable telephone and communication services for patients, visitors, and staff. This role provides functional leadership and supervision to communication operators, including recruiting, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, coaching, and corrective action when necessary. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining service quality, supporting communication system administration, monitoring workflow, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and customer service standards.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Associates degree or equivalent. Proficient in communication software. 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience in a communication system environment required OR 3 to 5 years of experience in a communication operator capacity required. Health care experience preferred.
