Telephone Operator Wyckoff Heights Medical Center-WHN New York, NY Job Details Part-time $27.28 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Position Summary Responsible for the prompt and courteous response to all incoming call signals, including emergency signals, and paging system.
Job Duties:
Answers incoming call signals promptly and courteously, in the order in which they are received. Must give progress reports, when caller is waiting on the line (every 0 to 40 seconds). Responds to Code calls (Cod Blue, Emergency, etc.). Responds and follows up on any inter-hospital calls. Responds and transmits all overhead and beeper paging. Maintains all records pertaining to the Telephone Operator work assignments (Patient Telephones, Emergency Calls, Long Distance Calls, Code Blue, etc.) Performs all other duties as required. Formal Education Desired (not required) criteria include: This position requires a minimum formal education of High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year job-related experience. Minimum one year experience with telephone company or hospital experience. Fridays from 8am-4PM.
