Job Description
We are currently accepting applications for Camera System Operators. We have a part-time position available Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 8AM to 4PM. Hourly rate starts at $14.00 -$15.00 LSC Camera Operators monitor the nearly 170 cameras located in the City of Lancaster. Operators must also respond to radio feed and webcad (computer aided dispatch) from County 911 as calls are received and dispatched. Operators actively respond to calls in progress from 911 and can provide live video feeds to 911 and police. When Operators are not working on active calls, they monitor for triggering events like people in distress, vehicle accidents, disturbances or fights, or other incidents where the safety of people may be compromised. Operators also spend significant time reviewing video requests for offences not in progress like break in's, hit and runs, vandalism or thefts. Staff keeps detailed records of calls in progress, video reviews and any video that will be provided as evidence. Our trained staff is a major key to our success and we are proud of the work they do for our community. Qualified applicants may be invited to interview.
