Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Erosion Control Specialist, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding construction sites through effective erosion prevention and sediment control measures. Your expertise will ensure compliance with environmental regulations while supporting the successful completion of construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, operate heavy machinery, and contribute to sustainable construction practices. Your proactive approach and technical skills will help maintain site stability, protect water quality, and promote safety across all operations. Need some help 2-3 days a week someone with experience installing silt fence , mulch sock , tree protection for 8 hours a day. il provide ice , water ,tools just bring some hustle and experience Duties Implement erosion control strategies by installing silt fences, sediment basins, erosion mats, and other preventative measures on active construction sites. Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, backhoes, and water trucks to assist with site grading, utility work, and erosion mitigation efforts. Conduct routine inspections of erosion control devices and construction utilities to ensure proper functioning and compliance with federal safety regulations. Perform maintenance on construction machinery including excavators, loaders, and water trucks to ensure optimal operation and safety. Assist with utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation or grading activities commence. Follow all equipment safety procedures and adhere to construction site safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment. Collaborate with project managers and construction crews to coordinate erosion control activities seamlessly within the overall project timeline. Experience Proven experience in construction utility work, site grading, or erosion control projects within the construction industry. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes (Caterpillar preferred), and water trucks. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures is essential. Familiarity with construction machinery maintenance routines to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment. Ability to perform utility locating accurately using specialized tools and techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery operation and maintenance. Previous roles involving excavation, backhoe operation, or construction site experience are highly desirable. Join us in making a tangible impact on sustainable development!
