Job Description

Duties:
A Key Control Specialist is responsible for managing, securing, and accounting for keys and access credentials within an organization or facility. This role ensures that only authorized personnel have access to restricted areas, and that all key-related activities are properly documented and compliant with security policies. This is a new position and the applicant may be sworn or non-sworn based on experience and qualifications.
Key Management:
Control the issuance, distribution, and return of keys or access credentials to authorized personnel.
Inventory & Accountability:
Maintain accurate logs of all keys, including serial numbers, locations, and users. Conduct regular audits to ensure no keys are lost, duplicated, or misused.
Compliance & Policy Enforcement:
Ensure all key-related activities follow organizational security policies, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Problem Resolution:
Track and resolve key-related issues such as lost keys, access denials, or system errors.
Security Oversight:
Monitor access control systems and ensure they are functioning correctly to prevent unauthorized entry.
Education and Experience:
Graduation from high school/vocational school, or the GED certificate program.
Full-Time Salary:
