Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare/review loan documents and disclosures for mortgage loan transactions to ensure accuracy and timely closings.
- Coordinate and schedule document preparation.
- Prepare closing disclosures and reconciling title fees with settlement agent.
- Review title report for liens and judgments to be paid at closing, HUD-1 settlement statements and conditions to ensure sign off prior to closing.
- Closely examine all information pertaining to fees, rates, and property information.
- Ensure that all Prior to Doc conditions have been reviewed and signed off by the underwriter.
- Check title report for correct endorsements and approved items.
- Conduct compliance review of Loan Estimate, Closing Disclosure, and validate that the loan passes all federal and state rules.
- Review loan documents for accuracy and agency and investor requirements.
- Generate, review, and approve the Closing Package & HUD1 Settlement Statement.
- Communicate with appropriate parties to keep them updated throughout the closing process and close loans in a timely manner.
- Follow stacking order as conditions are signed off and new information is received.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of company and regulatory changes that affect the closing process.
- Meet production and quality standards consistently. Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of mortgage doc drawing and closing or funding experience required.
- Familiar with reading and interpreting insurance policies, title reports, appraisals and settlement statements.
- Knowledge of RESPA disclosure requirements, FHA rules and regulations.
- Experience with Encompass LOS and IDS preferred.
- Possess strong attention to detail, analytical and organization skills.
- High level of integrity and trust; positive attitude and team player mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
