In this pivotal role, you will handle both commerical and residential transacation. You will lead the review and management of title records, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of real estate transactions. Your expertise will support the successful transfer of property ownership by conducting thorough title searches, analyzing legal descriptions, and verifying public records. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your knowledge of title insurance, document knowledge, mapping, and title processing to facilitate seamless closings and uphold underwriting guidelines. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive title searches using real estate transaction management software, GIS mapping tools, and public records databases to verify property ownership and history. Review legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way, and other real estate documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines. Analyze title records and public records to identify potential issues or encumbrances that could affect property transfers or financing. Manage title processing tasks efficiently, including preparing necessary documentation for real estate closings and ensuring all legal descriptions are precise. Collaborate with law offices, clients, and internal teams to resolve title discrepancies or issues through detailed research and analysis. Maintain meticulous records of title searches, reviews, and correspondence while adhering to company policies and legal standards. Utilize mapping software and GIS tools to visualize property boundaries, easements, and other relevant features for accurate reporting. Support the onboarding of new clients by providing clear communication regarding title status updates and next steps in the transaction process. Experience Proven experience as a Title Officer or senior level Junior TO. Commerical & Residential TItle Officer experience is imperative. Strong knowledge of title policies, endorsements, legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way, and title review processes. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed research using public records, title records, and mapping software tools such as GIS. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes. Experience with real estate transaction management software and title processing systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with underwriting guidelines adherence to ensure compliance during the closing process. Excellent client communication skills coupled with a customer service-oriented approach to facilitate smooth transactions.
