Centennial, CO About Automotive Titling Company Automotive Titling Company (ATC) is a market leader in interstate title and registration processing, supporting 10,000+ dealers across 11,000+ U.S. jurisdictions with 30+ years of industry experience. We partner with dealerships, lenders, and auto refinance platforms nationwide to keep vehicle title and registration transactions accurate, compliant, and moving. About the Role As a Level II-III Title Clerk, you'll audit incoming vehicle title paperwork from dealer networks for accuracy and completeness, balance paperwork to funding, prepare DMV documents, and resolve open issues by communicating directly with dealership contacts. This is a more senior track: you're expected to own dealer-facing conversations independently — while processing 25-40 files per day and maintaining the accuracy the role demands. No auto refinance platform experience is required. Title industry experience is a plus but not required — we place a lot of weight on accuracy, coachability, and the ability to work independently. What You'll Do Audit incoming vehicle title and lien paperwork from dealer networks, confirming names, addresses, VIN numbers, and documentation are accurate and complete Balance paperwork to funding and identify discrepancies before they become downstream problems Prepare and process DMV title and registration documents in accordance with state-specific requirements — you'll have access to extensive internal resources to navigate the laws and regulations across all 50 states, so deep prior knowledge isn't expected on day one Communicate directly with dealership contacts to resolve open issues, missing documentation, and Not-In-Good-Order (NIGO) items — independently, without routine hand-off to a lead Serve as a confident, professional point of contact for dealerships on file-specific questions and follow-up Process 25-40 files per day while maintaining strict accuracy standards Track and report on recurring issues or trends to support process improvement What We're Really Looking For Title or dealership experience is a plus, but it's not the top thing we screen for. Some of our strongest auditors, including top performers on the team, came in with zero title industry background.
What matters most:
You can hold yourself to a high standard without someone watching over you. This is a quiet, desk-based role where you're trusted to manage your own workload and quality. You're coachable and hungry to improve. We invest heavily in training, and candidates who are eager to learn consistently outperform those who assume they already know it all. You're comfortable with a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment. Daily minimums and accuracy standards are real and consistently enforced. You have a track record of sticking with something — a job, a goal, a certification — even when it got repetitive or nobody was checking your work. If your background is in retail, food service, or another fast-paced, customer-facing role, we'd genuinely like to hear from you. Many people coming from on-your-feet, high-pressure environments find a quiet, seated, detail-focused role like this to be a welcome change — and bring exactly the grit and work ethic this job rewards. Also a Great Fit If You Have Demonstrated experience communicating directly with dealerships or similar external parties to resolve documentation issues Dealership title experience, including DMV submissions and resolving title discrepancies Team lead, supervisor, or management experience with the potential to grow into a lead role Fleet auditing experience (e.g., Enterprise or similar) Mortgage or financial document compliance experience where accuracy carries real consequences Colorado Notary certification Strong 10-key by touch skills and 50-60+ WPM typing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Auto dealership admin or finance office experience (CDK experience a plus) Loan processing, banking, or insurance document processing background High-volume data entry experience with strong accuracy accountability DMV or registration processing experience (e.g., AAA) NIGO resolution or equivalent issue-resolution experience Training & Growth New hires begin in a structured training class (roughly 1.5 weeks minimum) before moving to their own desk, with ongoing QA support and feedback as you ramp up. Once you're out of training, you're eligible for uncapped incentive pay on top of your base rate for every file processed above the daily minimum — our top performers earn substantially more than base pay as a result.
