Job Description
About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Title Processor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the title process from order opening through closing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery for our clients. Key Responsibilities Open and process title orders, including reviewing purchase contracts, loan packages, and closing instructions Conduct or coordinate title searches and examine title commitments for accuracy and completeness Identify and resolve title defects, liens, judgments, and encumbrances Prepare title commitments, endorsements, and title insurance policies in accordance with underwriter guidelines Balance closing disclosures and settlement statements for closing Coordinate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and attorneys to facilitate smooth closings Order and review surveys, municipal lien searches, HOA estoppels, payoff statements, and tax certificates Maintain and update files in the title production/closing software Communicate proactively with all parties to provide status updates and resolve issues prior to closing Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in title processing, preferably with a Florida title or title insurance company Solid understanding of Florida real estate law, title insurance principles, and closing procedures Familiarity with Florida-specific requirements such as municipal lien searches, documentary stamp taxes, and intangible taxes Proficiency with title production software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience working with major underwriters (Fidelity, Old Republic, Stewart, First American, etc.) Knowledge of commercial title processing in addition to residential
