About the role Zero Tax Tags is a Montana DOJ-authorized DMV agency and a Montana Secretary of State approved commercial registered agent. We form Montana LLCs and title and register vehicles into them for clients in all 50 states. We are hiring one experienced title specialist. Not a coordinator, not a trainee. Someone who has done this work and can run a caseload without being told how. Who this job is for You currently do, or recently did, multi-state title work where the titleholder is a business entity. That most likely means one of these: A Montana registration or LLC formation service A registered agent company that also handles vehicle titling A fleet leasing or fleet management title department An auction title department A DMV service bureau or e-titling provider A high-line or exotic dealership that regularly processes out-of-state and LLC deals If you have worked at a company that does what we do, we especially want to talk to you. We are not asking you to bring anything with you. We are hiring your judgment. What you'll actually handle Reviewing MCOs, out-of-state titles, and reassignments from any of the 50 states, and identifying the defect before Montana does Preparing Montana title and registration applications with an LLC as titleholder, including permanent registration on qualifying vehicles Working directly with Montana MVD and county treasurer offices on files that need a human Secured party and lien filings, plus payoff and lienholder coordination The ugly ones: missing titles, bonded title paths, duplicate applications, broken chains, sellers who signed in the wrong place Owning a live caseload of 30 to 60 files and knowing the status of every one without being asked Telling clients clearly why their file is stuck and what they need to send What we need from you beyond the title knowledge You have to be able to write. A large share of this job is explaining a document problem to a client who does not understand titles, in a way that gets you the right document on the first try instead of the third. You should also be someone who documents what they figure out. We are building the process alongside the software that runs it, and the person in this seat has real influence over both. If you have ever been frustrated that your employer's process lived in three people's heads, this is a chance to fix that. We use AI tools daily and expect you to use them too. What we offer $32 to $36/hour, W-2, full-time. If you are exceptional and can prove it in the interview, we will go above the top of that range.
