Tree Farm/Arborist Location:
S. Central, Florida 3rd-generation premier nursery and tree farm located in South Central Florida is looking for a seasoned Grower to manage a 150-acres of tree farms home to more than 30,000 premium shade, tropical and pine trees. If you believe growing exceptional trees is both a science and an art, this is an opportunity to make your mark. Seeking a visionary leader who thrives in the field, understands the complexities of tree production, and takes pride in producing healthy, market-ready inventory. Responsible to lead the daily operations while working alongside an experienced team dedicated to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement growing programs for irrigation, fertilization, pruning, integrated pest management, and disease prevention.
- Monitor tree health daily, proactively identifying issues and implementing timely corrective actions.
- Lead, coach, and develop field personnel while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
- Work closely with operations, sales, and logistics teams to support harvesting, loading, and deliveries.
- Manage production records, inventory, and growing data to improve forecasting and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate new growing techniques, products, and technologies to enhance productivity and plant quality.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, agricultural, and safety regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Skilled in commercial tree production, nursery operations, horticulture, or arboriculture
- MUST have experience with Florida tree species, irrigation systems, fertilization, pruning, and pest and disease management.
- Proven leadership experience managing crews in an outdoor production environment.
- Ability to balance long-term crop planning with daily operational priorities.
- Self-motivated, organized, and passionate about producing exceptional plant material.
Salary:
