Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Groundsman to join our dynamic outdoor maintenance team. In this vital role, you will assist with a variety of,tree care, and arborist-related tasks to ensure the health, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our outdoor spaces. Your enthusiasm for outdoor work, combined with a commitment to safety and quality, will contribute to maintaining beautiful, healthy landscapes and trees. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, arboriculture, and landscape maintenance while working in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Assist with tree removal, pruning, and trimming using proper arborist rigging techniques and equipment such as chainsaws and bucket truck Support tree care activities including planting, staking, fertilizing, and health assessments Perform landscape maintenance duties such as lawn care, planting, mulching, and general landscaping tasks Use rigging techniques for safe tree rigging and removal operations in accordance with safety protocols Conduct plant pruning care to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal Maintain safety standards by adhering to all safety protocols during outdoor work activities Requirements Prior outdoor work experience with a focus on horticulture, landscaping, or tree care preferred Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is a plus for site mapping and planning tasks Experience operating bucket trucks and chainsaws safely and effectively Familiarity with arborist rigging techniques and tree removal procedures Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, climbing, and working at heights Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology (study of trees) is advantageous Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately Join us to grow your career in a vibrant environment dedicated to outdoor excellence!
