Duties Execute tree removal, pruning, trimming, and planting care with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Operate bucket trucks safely for elevated tree work, ensuring efficient access to high branches. Utilize rigging techniques for complex tree dismantling or limb removal, ensuring safe and controlled operations. Apply arborist rigging techniques to support safe tree care practices during challenging or delicate tasks. Conduct landscape maintenance including lawn care, plant pruning, and general horticultural upkeep. Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning tree care projects. Perform tree care assessments, diagnose health issues, and recommend appropriate treatments or removals. Ensure compliance with safety standards during all outdoor activities and maintain detailed records of work performed. Experience Proven experience as an arborist or in a similar outdoor landscaping role with a focus on tree care and maintenance. Demonstrated ability to operate bucket trucks, chainsaws, and other arborist equipment safely and effectively. Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques, tree removal procedures, and plant pruning care. Familiarity with GIS technology for mapping or project planning is preferred. Hands-on experience with landscape maintenance including lawn care, horticulture practices, and landscaping projects. Strong understanding of dendrology (the study of trees), horticulture principles, and growing practices. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety protocol adherence.
