Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tree Service Worker and play a vital role in maintaining healthy, beautiful, and safe urban and rural landscapes. In this energetic position, you will be actively involved in tree care operations, utilizing specialized equipment and arborist techniques to prune, remove, and care for trees of all sizes. Your expertise will help enhance community environments while ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in outdoor landscape maintenance and arboriculture while making a tangible impact on the environment. Duties Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment safely to access high branches for pruning or removal Use chainsaws and hand tools to perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal with precision and care Apply arborist rigging techniques to safely rig and dismantle large or hazardous trees Conduct tree care activities including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and health assessments based on horticulture principles Perform land clearing tasks such as stump grinding, debris removal, and site cleanup following safety standards Follow strict safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure team safety Qualifications Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on landscaping, tree care, or horticulture Familiarity with arborist rigging techniques, tree removal procedures, and tree trimming best practices Experience operating bucket trucks, chainsaws, and other landscaping equipment safely Knowledge of plant pruning care, dendrology (study of trees), and general landscape maintenance Ability to follow safety protocols diligently in all tasks performed Growing experience or interest in horticulture, land management, or related fields is highly desirable Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads and work at heights comfortably This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop expertise in arboriculture while contributing to vibrant community spaces.
