This position plays a vital role in maintaining the health, safety, and beauty of urban and natural landscapes. In this energetic position, you will utilize your expertise in tree and soil care, planting, pruning, and rigging to ensure trees are properly maintained and contribute to the overall landscape aesthetics. Both Full Time and Part-time positions are available. Responsibilities Perform tree pruning, planting, soil and plant care using ISA industry-standard techniques to promote healthy growth and safety. Climb and / or operate aerial lift equipment safely to access high branches and difficult-to-reach areas. Conduct tree assessments to identify potential hazards, disease, or structural issues requiring intervention. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and documenting tree locations and conditions. Follow strict safety protocols during all operations, including chainsaw use, rigging procedures, and equipment handling. Perform various soil improvement procedures such as Vertical Mulching, Radial Trenching, Deep-root Fertilizations and Soil Aeration. Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on arboriculture and ANSI A300 and ISA best management practices and pruning standards. Experience operating aerial equipment, chainsaws, Air-Spade and other relevant equipment safely and efficiently. Familiarity with arborist rigging techniques for safe tree pruning and rigging operations. Knowledge of dendrology (the study of trees), plant pruning care, planting and general landscape maintenance principles. Excellent adherence to safety protocols combined with physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions. ISA Arborist and TRAQ Certifications preferred but not necessary. PA Pesticide Applicators license preferred but not necessary. Ability to lead a 2-3 man crew pending project size and scope of work.
