Duties Safely climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and climbing spikes to access work areas at various heights. Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal with precision, following industry best practices for tree care and safety protocols. Utilize rigging techniques to lower branches or entire trees safely to the ground without damaging surrounding property or landscapes. Conduct plant pruning care and general tree maintenance to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Apply arborist rigging techniques for complex tasks such as large limb removal or delicate pruning projects. Use chainsaws and other power tools responsibly, adhering strictly to safety standards at all times. Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure personal safety and that of team members during climbing and rigging operations. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including tree conditions, treatments applied, and equipment used. Experience Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on horticulture, arboriculture, or landscape maintenance. Familiarity with tree care practices including pruning, trimming, and removal techniques. Experience operating bucket trucks or aerial lifts is highly desirable. Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques for safe limb removal and tree dismantling. Skilled in the use of chainsaws, hand tools, and power equipment used in tree services. Understanding of safety protocols related to climbing and aerial work environments. Growing experience in dendrology (the study of trees), plant health care, or related fields is a plus. Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining high safety standards during complex operations.
