Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Experienced Tree Climber and play a vital role in maintaining healthy, safe, and beautiful landscapes. In this energetic and hands-on position, you will utilize your advanced climbing skills and arborist expertise to perform tree care, removal, pruning, and maintenance tasks. Your work will directly contribute to the safety of communities, the health of urban forests, and the aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in various environments while applying your technical knowledge and physical agility. Responsibilities Safely ascend trees using climbing gear and rigging techniques to perform pruning, trimming, or removal operations. Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment to access high branches efficiently and securely. Execute tree removal projects with precision, ensuring minimal impact on surrounding landscapes and structures. Apply arborist rigging techniques for controlled dismantling of large or hazardous trees. Conduct plant pruning care to promote healthy growth, improve structure, and enhance visual appeal. Use chainsaws and hand tools safely for cutting, trimming, or removing branches and trees. Follow strict safety protocols during all operations to protect yourself, team members, clients, and the environment. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including GIS (Geographic Information System) data when applicable for mapping tree locations. Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, or general horticulture when needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion while adhering to safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience as a tree climber with a strong understanding of arborist rigging techniques and tree care practices. Demonstrated ability to operate bucket trucks safely and effectively in various outdoor conditions. Experience with using cranes to assist with dismantling of trees and incorporating cranes into safe and efficient job sites. Skilled in using chainsaws, pruning tools, and other arborist equipment with safety as a top priority. Familiarity with landscape maintenance, horticulture principles, dendrology (study of trees), and growing practices is advantageous. Prior outdoor work experience in forestry, landscaping, or related fields is highly desirable. Ability to follow detailed safety protocols consistently during physically demanding tasks. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Valid certifications in tree removal or arboriculture are a plus; ongoing training in arborist techniques is encouraged. Pay:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
