Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Irrigation Technician to join our dynamic landscape maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems that keep commercial landscapes lush, healthy, and thriving. Your expertise will ensure efficient water use, promote sustainable landscaping practices, and deliver exceptional service to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilize your technical skills, and contribute to beautiful, well-maintained commercial properties. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators when necessary. Conduct routine inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions and perform timely repairs. Adjust sprinkler heads and valves to ensure even coverage and optimal water distribution across landscaped areas. Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions seamlessly into ongoing lawn care and landscaping projects. Maintain detailed records of system installations, repairs, and maintenance activities for client files and company documentation. Operate construction equipment safely when installing new irrigation infrastructure or upgrading existing systems. Provide expert advice on irrigation best practices to clients for water conservation and landscape health. Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on irrigation systems or related landscape equipment. Familiarity with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general landscaping principles. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators safely and effectively. Knowledge of horticulture principles related to healthy plant growth and sustainable landscaping practices. Experience working with irrigation components including valves, controllers, sprinkler heads, and piping systems. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide guidance to clients when needed.
