The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with irrigation installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting and is eager to continue developing their technical skills. This position works alongside experienced irrigation technicians to install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot irrigation systems for residential and commercial landscapes. Responsibilities Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems. Troubleshoot irrigation systems to identify leaks, broken components, clogged heads, wiring issues, and other problems. Assist with installing and repairing PVC, poly pipe, valves, sprinkler heads, drip irrigation, and irrigation controllers. Perform irrigation system inspections and identify areas requiring adjustment or repair. Adjust sprinkler heads, nozzles, valves, and controllers for proper coverage and water efficiency. Assist with controller programming and troubleshooting. Locate and repair irrigation leaks and damaged lines. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe cutters, and other irrigation equipment safely. Dig trenches and expose irrigation lines as needed for repairs and installation. Assist with irrigation start-ups, seasonal adjustments, and system shutdowns. Maintain accurate records of repairs, materials, and completed work. Keep work areas, vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and organized. Follow company safety procedures and communicate job-site issues to the lead technician or supervisor. Provide professional and courteous service to customers when working on residential or commercial properties. Qualifications 1-3 years of irrigation, landscaping, or related field experience preferred. Basic understanding of irrigation systems and components. Familiarity with sprinkler and drip irrigation systems. Ability to troubleshoot basic irrigation problems. Basic knowledge of PVC and poly pipe installation and repair. Comfortable using hand tools and power tools. Ability to work outdoors in hot and varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and take direction. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills Experience with irrigation controllers and programming. Knowledge of common irrigation brands and components. Basic understanding of electrical wiring for irrigation systems. Experience with drip irrigation and water-efficient systems. Familiarity with landscape maintenance and installation. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
