This position works alongside experienced irrigation technicians to install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot irrigation systems for residential and commercial landscapes. Responsibilities Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems. Troubleshoot irrigation systems to identify leaks, broken components, clogged heads, wiring issues, and other problems. Assist with installing and repairing PVC, poly pipe, valves, sprinkler heads, drip irrigation, and irrigation controllers. Perform irrigation system inspections and identify areas requiring adjustment or repair. Adjust sprinkler heads, nozzles, valves, and controllers for proper coverage and water efficiency. Assist with controller programming and troubleshooting. Locate and repair irrigation leaks and damaged lines. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe cutters, and other irrigation equipment safely. Dig trenches and expose irrigation lines as needed for repairs and installation. Assist with irrigation start-ups, seasonal adjustments, and system shutdowns. Maintain accurate records of repairs, materials, and completed work. Keep work areas, vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
