In this role, you will assist in maintaining, repairing, and monitoring all facets of the irrigation system including pumps, piping, valves, heads, PRV's, and suction screens, and perform related work as required. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a great attitude and strong work ethic. At least one year of experience in golf course maintenance and familiarity with basic irrigation practices are preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is also preferred.

JOB DETAILS
Responsibilities:
Assist Manager or Irrigation Technician II in maintaining and performing repairs on complex irrigation (automatic) systems. Hand waters golf course as directed by supervisors. Perform technical tasks and manual labor involved in maintaining and repairing golf course irrigation systems. Operate and maintain pumping equipment. Read water flow meters. Repair broken pipe and swing joints. Perform preventive maintenance on Cla-valves, PRV screens (including pressure settings). Change head spacing for more effective water distribution. Raise or lower irrigation heads as required. Monitor and reset angle of spray on part-circle heads so that only turf is irrigated. Maintain drainage systems and equipment. Other duties as assigned by supervisors and management.
