A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Responsibilities:
Assist Manager or Irrigation Technician II in maintaining and performing repairs on complex irrigation (automatic) systems. Hand waters golf course as directed by supervisors. Perform technical tasks and manual labor involved in maintaining and repairing golf course irrigation systems. Operate and maintain pumping equipment. Read water flow meters. Repair broken pipe and swing joints. Perform preventive maintenance on Cla-valves, PRV screens (including pressure settings). Change head spacing for more effective water distribution. Raise or lower irrigation heads as required. Monitor and reset angle of spray on part-circle heads so that only turf is irrigated. Maintain drainage systems and equipment. Other duties as assigned by supervisors and management.Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Required to stand and walk- Frequently Required to lift and/or push and/or pull up to 80 pounds
- Occasionally Ability to drive a motor vehicle
- Frequently Required to work in an outdoor working environment
- Constantly Exposed to extreme temperatures and inclement weather
- Regularly Required to work in trenches to repair pipes in uncomfortable positions and confined spaces
