What they do
A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Job Description
We are looking for someone who can independently troubleshoot irrigation systems, identify problems, make repairs, and properly adjust irrigation systems for efficient water use. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems Diagnose broken or damaged sprinkler heads, valves, lateral lines, and main lines Install and repair drip irrigation systems Program and adjust irrigation controllers Troubleshoot electrical issues with irrigation systems Repair and replace irrigation valves, wiring, heads, nozzles, and fittings Inspect irrigation systems for leaks and inefficient watering Adjust sprinkler coverage and irrigation schedules Perform irrigation audits and identify areas of overwatering or inadequate coverage Work with anti-siphon valves, backflow devices, pressure regulators, and related irrigation components Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, and supervisors Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and job site Document repairs and report additional irrigation issues Qualifications Previous irrigation experience required Ability to troubleshoot irrigation systems independently Knowledge of irrigation controllers and programming Experience with sprinkler and drip systems Basic understanding of irrigation electrical systems Valid California driver's license Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to work outdoors in hot weather Ability to lift materials and equipment and perform physical work Good communication and customer-service skills Preferred Experience Experience with commercial landscape irrigation, multi-zone systems, irrigation repairs, valve replacement, controller installation/programming, leak troubleshooting, and water conservation is highly preferred.
