Responsibilities Designs, implements and maintains mechanical and electrical components of course irrigation system. Repairs equipment associated with irrigation. Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment associated with irrigation. Maintains complete records on all equipment maintenance associated with irrigation. Maintains inventory of parts needed for irrigation equipment. Irrigates all grounds as needed or scheduled. Performs all record-keeping relative to irrigation system including weather and rainfall data; assists in recording fertilizer and pesticide applications. Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways. Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the golf course superintendent. Experience Proven experience working with irrigation systems, including installation projects and ongoing maintenance tasks. Strong mechanical knowledge related to irrigation equipment, pumps, valves, controllers, and electrical diagnostics. Familiarity with automated irrigation control systems and troubleshooting system faults efficiently. Knowledge of landscaping principles combined with soil science to support healthy turf growth. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely while performing complex repair or installation tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system troubleshooting and repair projects.
