Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ranch Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outdoor work, farm operations, and animal care, particularly with equine and other farm animals. This role involves hands-on responsibilities in maintaining the health and well-being of livestock, ensuring the smooth operation of daily ranch activities, and supporting the overall management of the property. The Ranch Hand will play a vital role in providing high-quality care for our animals while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Responsibilities Rotate horses from stalls to paddocks to ensure proper exercise and pasture management Clean stalls thoroughly, dump water, scrub buckets, and top off water supplies to maintain hygiene standards Feed horses with correct grain amounts and hay based on their dietary needs Administer medication as prescribed by veterinarians and monitor animal health Groom horses as needed, including brushing and/or bathing Assist with general farm chores Support other farm activities that require outdoor work experience and animal handling skills Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during daily operations Experience Proven outdoor work experience in a farm or ranch setting Prior experience caring for farm animals, especially horses and other livestock Knowledge of equine care practices including feeding, grooming, and medication administration Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions Familiarity with farm equipment and maintenance is preferred but not mandatory This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic rural environment where your skills in animal care and farm operations will be valued.
