Full-Time Overview We are a small, privately owned farm in Ellijay, GA, seeking an energetic and dependable Farm Hand to join our team. Because we are a small operation, we require a versatile individual who is comfortable switching between diverse tasks and taking initiative. This role requires a combination of livestock experience, machinery operation, and general maintenance skills. Due to the nature of our animals and the presence of multiple dogs, we are looking for a candidate who is safety-conscious, assertive, and highly reliable.

Key Responsibilities Livestock Management:

Daily care, feeding, and safe handling of cattle, pigs, and poultry. You must be comfortable managing livestock with a focus on safety and animal behavior.

Equipment Operation:

Confidently operating tractors and pulling/backing trailers.

Farm Maintenance:

Performing general carpentry and repair work to maintain fences, gates, and animal housing.

Canine Integration:

Working effectively and calmly in an environment with dogs.

General Support:

Assisting with the daily operational needs of a small-scale farm with a high level of energy and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications Livestock Experience:

Proven experience handling cattle and pigs.

Machinery Proficiency:

Demonstrated competence in tractor operation and towing/backing trailers.

Handyman Skills:

Basic to intermediate carpentry skills for essential farm repairs.

Reliability:

A consistent track record of punctuality and dependability. In a small operation, your presence is critical to the health of the animals.

Energy & Stamina:
